5 Popular Misconceptions about Fisting

Fisting can a couple of meanings, depending on the user of the term and the context. However, in whatever context, it remains a form of intense pleasure.

Definition of fisting: Fisting, handballing, fist-fucking, brachiovaginal, or brachioproctic insertion is a sexual activity that involves inserting a hand into the vagina or rectum. Once insertion is complete, the fingers are either clenched into a fist or kept straight. Fisting may be performed without a partner, but it is most often a partnered activity.

Over time, people have had created a couple of misconceptions about what fisting should be or not be. Here are some of such myths:

1) Fisting is for only hardcore gay men

Well, this misconception originated from certain gay urban areas and the porn industry in the ’60s and ’70s. However, the truth remains that fisting has been around for a while, and more prevalent in the contemporary world. Even at that, both men and women practice and enjoy fisting, both via the vagina and anus.

2) The vagina/sphincter gets damaged from fisting

If you are familiar with a vagina and how it works, you’d understand that no matter how expanded it is during play, it is only a matter of hours or days before it goes back to the original size, the same with the sphincter. The only thing you need to worry about is lubricating the holes effectively, and go slowly. Start with a finger first, and add another. If you don’t rush, nothing will be damaged.

3) Fisting isn’t pleasurable

The only time you will not get pleasured by fisting is if you are doing it the wrong way. Unlike impact play or needle play, fisting doesn’t hurt. In fact, you should discontinue the activities once you feel  pain. While there may be slight discomfort during the process and little bit soreness after, you can minimize this significantly by ensuring generous lubrication of the holes. In the case of vagina fisting, you can get the hole ready by using dildos or even sex. And when it is time for proper action, never rush.

4) Fisting involves the use of the fist

Not what you might think! You do not have to make and insert a fist during fisting necessarily. Ignore the name now; fisting is all about having your hand inserted into these pleasure holes, not your entire fist.

5) Fisting is disgusting

Perhaps, it is for some people. However, you can make it less gross by taking some simple precautions. First, clean the anus thoroughly in the case of anal fisting, and empty your bladder before the process in the case of vaginal fisting. You should use gloves and a towel to avoid spreading lube and remaining poop everywhere.

If done correctly, you will agree that fisting is definitely not a pain in the ass but a mind blowing experience. In fact, it is one of the surest methods of reaching orgasm, considering that the inserted hand reaches and puts pressure on the prostate or g-spot. It is one pleasurable sexual engagement you should practice, of course with a partner of similar interest. However, if you still do not find fisting appealing, it is absolutely okay. Stick to the other aspects of sex and taboos that you find most comfortable.

question—-how long is it safe to let on the cock a gland ring and penis plug? Had a cock ring on yesterday most of the day and felt good. Would like to get the ring & pee-through plug and wear it all day. If possible, please explain how one person has anal play…obviously new to this.
